ABOUT

Chris "Bull" Brom

Every parent/teacher conference when I was a kid included the same report: "Chris is really smart, and he does a great job completeing his school work, but he really needs to stop talking all the time."  Little did they know that I would go on to make a living out of talking all the time.  Over the past decade, I've been blessed to be a part of the broadcast industry in the small town I grew up in.  In that time I've learned more than I can possibly imagine, and I've developed skills that can translate across multiple facets of radio and television.

Below are some highlights of my experience in radio, including on-air work, operations, logistics, programming, and even sales.

The Colorado Media School (formerly Ohio Center For Broadcasting) is a trade school that specializes getting students the "hands-on" experience they need to be successful in the broadcast industry.  They offer courses in radio and television.  In recent years, they've expanded to carry specialized training in areas like sports, podcasting, and social media.  One of their guiding principles is requiring students to complete an extensive internship program with a broadcast company to help further that education and provide "on the job training."  Courses included:

  • Video Recording/Editing

  • Audio Recording/Editing

  • Sales/Marketing

  • Programming

  • On-Air Production

  • Newscast Production (Television)

  • Website Design

  • Sports Broadcasting
